¿Qué es el CSL1 o Controlled Shipping Level 1 y para qué le sirve a la industria?
El CSL1 por sus siglas en inglés Controlled Shipping Level 1 es uno de los procesos del control de calidad que se basan en el envío restringido de materiales a los clientes.
El Controlled Shipping Level 1 generalmente es aplicado cuando los materiales enviados a los clientes han tenido fallas o errores de fabricación del proveedor. Estos errores de fabricación suelen ser debido a la falta de nivel de calidad requerido por los clientes, en otras palabras, donde los niveles de calidad son mayores a los 15 defectos por millón.
¿En qué consiste el CSL1?
El Controlled Shipping Level 1 o también conocido como Envío Controlado Nivel 1 plantea que el proveedor debe mantener el control de la calidad de sus instalaciones y la calidad de todos los embarques, apoyándose en el CSL1, es decir, la inspección al 100% de la producción.
El CSL1 junto con el CSL2 son servicios de contención y también conocidos como envíos controlados o envíos restringidos. Estos se aplican cuando los clientes han recibido productos no conformes con sus estándares y especificaciones.
Partes por millón
Las partes por millón o PPM, por sus siglas, son la forma en que se identifican el estándar para piezas no conformes y generalmente no rebasan las 50 partes por millón. El margen de PPM aceptadas por los clientes, dependerá de cada uno de ellos y los lineamientos que deben respetar en sus procesos, pues muchos de ellos ni siquiera aceptan más de 15 partes por millón.
